Whenever you call a GV# currently, it rings 4-5 times and then goes to silence. However, if you call my VZW# it goes straight to my GV# Voice Mail. All over the web the number of complaints are rising. I myself use, and depend, on Google Voice for all my phone calls. Check out the numerous reports of outages on Google's forums.
My issues, that I know of, started last night. My mother needed my help, but I was unreachable. The voice mail she left me, gone. Others are reporting the same problems.
- I just tried accessing Google Voice from my phone and it worked. BUT when I try to place a call online it says 'calling you' and nothing happens.
- Same thing for me, stopped working last night, all callers go straight to voicemail but I am still able to make calls via Gvoice on my Nexus one.
- Same here, starting 6/20. Glad it's not just me.
With all these complaints, and support tickets, there is still no official word yet from Google. I've also noticed, and have seen reported, that the call widget is not working. I tried clicking the link myself to add it to a site, it's a dead link at present.
